Nail Colours for a Perfect Autumn Manicure

Looking forward to the progression of October, I am eager to participate in Autumn-themed activities. This involves enjoying delicious fall snacks, exploring pumpkin patches, and trying out new beauty and fashion styles for the season. Nail trends particularly catch my attention as my favourite aspect of beauty. In this article, I will share my top picks for nail polish colours and brands, starting with my preferred berry/wine shades.


At the top of my list is the reliable Berry Naughty by Essie! I love this nail polish shade so much that I eagerly anticipate using it by the end of August in preparation for the fall season. This color is not only stunning but, in my opinion, perfectly crafted. Essie has truly excelled with this shade, providing excellent coverage in just one coat and giving you a salon-quality gel-like manicure in just two.



Progressing to more reddish/berry-colored nail polish, let's now focus on the popular Malaga Wine by OPI. I first encountered this shade last September. My nail technician suggested it to me as I was seeking a warm hue for the transition to fall, while also wanting to try a red polish that would complement my skin tone. This shade is stunning and ideal for the beginning of autumn, appearing juicy and vibrant. Depending on the number of coats applied, you could achieve a candy apple red or a winey burgundy.


Next in line is Bordeaux by Essie. This rich red wine hue is truly captivating. Yet another exceptional formula from Essie that will take your breath away.

The glossy, gel-like finish and flat, round-tip brush make the application process effortless. This shade is my favourite for a burgundy nail style.


When looking for the perfect orange shade for autumn, I usually opt for burnt oranges. Specifically, I prefer the colour My Italians a little Rusty by OPI. This shade of orange can be best described as terracotta. This shade is stunning, catching the eye with its infusion of rich chestnut tones.


Another colour that I think is perfect for this season is deep purple. My favourite option is Bahama Mama by Essie. I absolutely love this color because it's a rich, luxurious warm plum with a smooth finish that goes on easily. It provides a gel-like look, making you feel like you've just left a salon.


Coming up next are the browns that I love the most! When switching to brown hues, I usually avoid lighter shades because of my deep, rich skin tone. I find deep chocolate browns to be very eye-catching and perfect for the current season. The specific colour that captivated me with brown nail polishes is Brown to Earth by OPI. This deep, dark chocolate brown shade historically has been linked to the earth, symbolizing stability, and grounding and will have you thinking Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. My favourite polish by this brand is this shade because the formula was executed very well.

This last brown on my list, I found fairly recently and is called Odd Squad by Essie. This deep coffee brown is slightly lighter than brown to earth has red undertones, and is a vegan formula with flawless coverage. These are my top picks for autumn nail polishes.
